The Pennsylvania National Guard Distinguished Service Medal Ribbon. Awarded to service-members of the Pennsylvania National Guard who provide noteworthy service for the state. A gold "V" device is awarded as well, if the service member was in a situation that involved the risk of death or grave injury. For additional awards a silver star device is worn, while a numerical device is worn for 6th and subsequent awards. |

Awarded to members of the Pennsylvania National Guard who have served in 200 funerals and are recommended by a coordinator - either locally or at a state level. Recommendations are awarded for service-members who conduct themselves in a professional manner during services. For additional awards, bronze oak leaf clusters are presented - while a 6th award is shown by wearing a silver oak leaf cluster. |

The Pennsylvania National Guard Recruiting and Retention Medal Ribbon. Awarded to NCO's and Officers of the Pennsylvania National Guard who differentiate themselves through the recruiting and retention program. Can be awarded to individuals or groups for referring and enlisting individuals into the PA National Guard. Additional awards are represented by wearing a numerical device on the ribbon. For the tenth award, a silver star will be presented, in lieu of a numerical device. |
