Meritorious Unit Commendation (Army)
Army Meritorious Unit Commendation Ribbon is awarded by the Department of
the Army to units for
exceptionally meritorious conduct in performance of
outstanding services for at least
six continuous months during the period of military operations against an armed enemy
occurring on or after January 1, 1944. Service in
the combat zone is not required;
however, it must be directly related to the combat effort.
Service members, when authorized, shall wear a bronze
oak-leaf cluster for each additional award of the Meritorious Unit Award (Army) they
receive.
